Leagues
Learn more about competitive shooting offered year round at MRGC. As either a competitive shooter or someone new to the sport, we have a league that meets your particular shooting interest.

Trap League
The summer trap league provides evenings of fun, fair, and competitive trap shooting to participants of all ages, genders, and abilities.
The league is a team competition with scoring similar to a “handicapped” bowling league. Each match consists of two teams shooting two relays from the 16-yard line. The team with the highest total score (including handicap targets) is the winner of the match.
The season starts in May and lasts 14 weeks. Matches will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 5:30 PM & 6:30 PM (5:15 PM and 6:15 PM for the first four weeks of the season).
Each team competes against each other twice. A league banquet wraps up the season. League fees are a $20 per person entry fee and $4 per round, per shooter.
Associate members can participate, but at least one person per team must be a regular MRGC member.

Rimfire Pistol League
Starting in September, this "drop-in" style league is held on Monday nights. The league is a team competition; however, shooters can show up any time between 4:00 PM and 6:00 to compete (no need for all team members to be present at the same time). The team with the highest total score at the end of the night (including handicap targets) is the winner of the match.

Matches are shot in 3 phases, slow fire (10 rounds 10 min), timed fire (5 rounds in 20 seconds), and rapid fire (5 rounds in 10 seconds). Distance to the target is 50 feet.

Shooters of all abilities can participate and are invited as this is a handicap .22 league. The first 3 weeks are used to set handicaps and practice, followed by 20 weeks of competition.
Cost for the season is $45 and includes targets, prizes, and a banquet at the end of the season.
